Writing

I have told myself stories ever since I can remember. I write fiction - short stories, flash fiction and novels. I am a member of the Society of Authors, and also of the writers' collective Crime Cymru, where I've been involved in translating the website, running the inaugural First Novel competition and participating in Wales' first crime festival, Gŵyl Crime Cymru Festival. I am also a member of the Climate Fiction Writers' League.

My debut novel, Someone Else’s Conflict, was published by Honno in 2014 and was a LoveReading Debut of the Month. My second, Riverflow was also published by Honno, in June 2019, and was chosen as Waterstones Welsh book of the month in August 2019.

My short stories and flash fiction have been featured in various publications over the years, including Ellipsis Zine. I really enjoyed participating in the “A Thousand Word Photos” project, where writers are given a photo as a starting point for a story. You can read my contribution, Thirst, here.

My short story, Quirky Robbers, features in the recent Honno anthology Cast A Long Shadow.
